although I love me some old school muscle, those cars back then will get outclassed by damn near any sports related car on the market right now...

back then, they were cars with wheels, engines and sticks to keep the wheels on...

nowadays, you have magnetic controlled suspensions, ECU tuning, amazing light weight wheels, sticky tires, etc.....

trust me, I'd kill someone in the face to have a 70 Charger.....

True. You simply can't compare today's technology with that of yesteryear, but there is a certain nostalgia. And I love limited production cars.

American auto makers are pros at giving performance bang for the buck.

Europeans make cars that are works of art.

Japanese make cars that are reliable and reasonable.

Yes I know there are exceptions...

It must be the fact that they share the same motor but different body lines and GWR.

And you just lost all credibility......

Top Gear is an entertainment show. Their anti-American shenanigans is part of what the makes the show so great, but don't believe anything on that show.

The 1 series is more fun to drive and more tuneable than say...

Not from the bumbling idiots anyway. The lap times with the Stig are about the only thing that have credibility.

The show is about entertainment. I love the show, but that is not a source for a serious car review.

Hell even a producer says it is written for 9 year olds.....

But I am shocked to find out my M235i is hanging tall with some of those on certain tracks. The latest one on Willow Springs was an eye-opener.

There are some impressive cars on this list, but admit: the M235i is no slouch.
