Poll: BMWCCA Membership - How Long?

So I just passed (2 days ago) my 30 year anniversary as a BMWCCA member and figured I'd throw a poll up to see the mix of CCA membership longevity among this online group....

I get a fair amount out of the club, from events, to the Roundel, to car rebates and I even won about 1/3rd of a car a couple of years ago. So, it's certainly earned it's keep in my book.

While 30 yrs is a long time, I'm sure there are some with plenty more. Any 40s in the group? Show us what you got.

15 years before I quit. I simply couldn't take advantage of what they offered. I only stayed because I enjoyed reading Mike Miller.

Congratulations on your impressive 30-year anniversary as a member of BMWCCA! That's truly a remarkable milestone, and it's wonderful to hear that you have found great value in your membership over the years. It's clear that the club has provided you with a wide range of benefits, from events and the Roundel magazine to car rebates and even winning a part of a car. Your dedication and involvement speak volumes about the positive impact the club has had on your automotive journey.

It's always fascinating to connect with fellow enthusiasts who share a similar passion for BMWs and have long-standing memberships. While you've reached the remarkable milestone of 30 years, I'm sure there are others in the group with even more impressive membership longevity. It would be fantastic to hear from those who have been members for 40 years or more and learn about their experiences and contributions to the club.

I only sign up when I know I’m buying a new BMW within a year for the rebate and then let it expire until I'm ready for another new BMW.

~43 years...joined in 1980 when I bought my father's Bavaria. I first heard of the CCA in 1972 when my father and I went to Lime Rock for a Trans-Am race that Spring and were directed to the BMWCCA corral parking. I had never seen such a fanatic group of car crazies before that day's experience in the car corral, lol. A six cylinder car (Bavaria, CS) was very rare compared to the sea of 2002s and 1600s in the corral. Ten years later I made it back to Lime Rock but to drive on it this time during the 1982 Oktoberfest.

My first BMW is on its way. Seems like it’s worth it but I haven’t done any research into yet. Will keep an eye on this thread!

17 years. I’ve been getting emails fairly regularly lately that I have BMW CCA Bucks. I checked the other day and I have 19 referrals this year from folks on the forums using my member number when they join. So, y’all keep it up!! I’m bound to win an ///M school this year!!

You can go to the website to see some if the things membership can offer. You don't have full access to the site...but enough to see what piques your interest. Click this link to check out what's offered: https://cdn.bmwcca.org/static/join/index.html

I've been a member since 2000...but have been a BMW owner since 1986. I knew of BMW CCA but spent those 1st 14 years with BIMMER magazine subscription. When they folded...i joined the CCA to get my BMW info fix.

Like mentioned above...the BMW CCA Bucks has provided lots of BMW swag...i have enough T shirts to get through an entire month...and I have a couple of packages that arent even opened yet.

Hopefully I will when a whole car in this years raffle. LOL

Wow thank you! I’m picking up my car this week — I will join soon after! Mostly excited for the track events and group drives but the swag is a nice bonus!

Was a member for 20 years and decided to stop subscribing 10 years ago. Discounts have shrunk and benefits have diminished, but when I was a member I enjoyed club events.

In my area discounts same been the same for a long time. All the dealers give 10% off parts and labor and most independent BMW shops do the same.

That is on top of social events, tours, and HPDEs.

But I have never qualified for the new BMW rebate because of factory incentives at the time I bought my cars. Only bummer that I know of.

I joined in 1971 (50+ years ago) when I bought my 2002. At the time it was just the Boston Chapter and I later helped start the Connecticut River Chapter. I join after meeting Joe Chamberlain (still a current writer) at Lime Rock Park where all the BMW from the fledgling club were parked together.
Many years of events and of course the Rondel Mag.
