I can swap a second set of wheels onto the car in about 5 minutes if I work fast and hard. I would never move my 265/35/18 fronts to the rear and put my 285/35/18 rears in the front. If you are moving front to rear, I agree it would take longer if swapping diagonally. However one jack point may lift the entire side if swapping same side front to rear.

My point was more that I would be done before you even got set up with your fancy portable lift. But I think those lifts are great and would be helpful for doing more involved projects at the track or even in a small garage that lacks the space or height for a real lift. Also as you get older lifts are nice. I got a 2 post 4 or 5 years ago.
I have a square setup so I'm often needing to lift both sides for the swap. Just getting the car up on jack stands to do that is an easy 10 minute job and one that I hate doing. Setting up the lift takes 5 minutes total. I don't bring it when a 4 corner change won't be needed though.

However, using the lift at home has saved me a ton of time and money and provided a learning opportunity at the same time. So far I have used it for oil changes and several jobs I decided to take on myself: swapped out radiator, swapped out DCT cooler, swapped out coolant reservoir, flushed ps fluid, removed and replaced calipers for service, flushed brake lines, removed and replaced studs, removed and replaced brake rotors, removed suspension due to leak, reinstalled suspension and most recently removed entire exhaust for straight pipe swap.

For me I've definitely already gotten my money's worth!
