Orangy Substance in Coolant Tank (F30)
Hello -
I've been dealing with non-stop coolant issues for the better part of 3 months. Had many leaks, which now seemed to have been solved, but now noticed coolant is an orangy opaque substance. My first instinct was this is oil leaking into the coolant tank, but my oil levels remain steady, and the car is cooling properly. Are there any other signs I should be looking for? How do I check if the substance is coolant not oil? There is a pink substance on the cap, but I think that's from the mechanic looking for leaks from a previous repair. 2018 BMW 330i (F30) |

First this read: and my 2 cents:
1) flush it with water multiple time. 2) Pressure test to be sure. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=691413 what are the chances that the OFH Gasket is leaking..... but s you stated, level is fine in both oil and coolant. revert to 50/50 bmw coolant. |
