Apple Watch announced.

Thoughts?

It looks... okay I guess. Nothing too crazy about it that I can see. It looks like they took ipad nano and made it into a wrist watch.

Shit is getting stupid now. Who the fuck would really want one of those?

Let's just invest in making a bunch of useless gadgets so we can walk around looking like our favorite inspector.

Since the straps are so customizable and easy to swap, I bet everyone will be buying these just so they can have one "The way they want".

I'm 24 and I feel like a senile old man, but I mean come on, I think some of these companies like Apple need to get their priorities straight. All I see here is wasted textiles. Wouldn't you want to invest in a product that will strike the majority and not the minority?

I mean, if it will play a hologram of Heidi Klum diddling herself, they might be on to something...., but I will patiently wait that day out.

No thanks. I still prefer old school analog watches.

It's just getting stupid now. It's a battle between Android and Apple of who has the biggest penis. The iRing is probably next.

iCock?

That might not be a bad idea. Like remote control panties, but a remote control dick ring. You can control it from you iPhone or iPod, just make sure someone doesn't pick up your WIFI.

They just announced that U2's new album Song of Innocence is free to all ITunes customers on ITunes right now. That's pretty cool.

I think smart watches will be great and when integrated into healthcare a huge leap forward. Apple's release wont come out till 2015 which is odd, it looks ok, it probably isn't as cool as others or whatever. But Apple is working with Mayo so healthcare apps and such will be tuned and I think that is a big deal. I could see insurance companies wanting to get into this market as well and have customized plans that drop as you become healthier or maintain your health.

Would have preferred a smartband with OLED screen. I'll pass on this since I have a daily watch already. I hope this is not what Steve Jobs wanted it to be in terms of design.

That is exactly what I though and bad in the day I was looking at putting a ipod shuffle on the wrist band and use it a watch and listen to music as i worked out, the problem is it did not have bluetooth so you could not use wireless headphones. You can not buy the wristband anymore also.

I bet when the ipod shuffle wristbands came out is when Apple got the bright idea to do a watch.

I believe it has limited appeal, they will sell some, but watches are too personal and people are too particular in what they want, just changing bands is not going to be enough, it has been done before and was not to successful.

They announced now so they can get the developer kits out so when the watch hits the market there will be lots of software apps for the device. Yeah the insurance companies can increase your premiums as you sit on your butt and watch tv.
