Polish recommendations
Hi
I have ended up with a number of marks on the bonnet from bird crap. I have tried some Ag paint restorer on it using an orbital polisher but they have not removed fully. Can anyone recommend some decent polish that will likely remove them? Thanks |

Koch Chemie 6.01 - used it on my F31 the other day; bonnet came up superb

Bilt Hamber Cleanser Polisher is pretty good, but it sounds like you might have damaged the clear coat. Maybe try Meguair's Ultimate compound. I see you're on Merseyside - seagull shite down that way is nasty corrosive stuff!
Might need a detailer to do a deeper paint correction if it's eaten through to the paint. |

My go to polishes.... https://www.poorboysworld.co.uk/collections/polish
I would use the SSR-2.5 to start with if that isn't good enough use the SSR-3 but although the polish breaks down to a finer & finer polish would use the SSR-1 to finish the job if you have used the SSR-3 ... you will need dual action machine polisher for these and some of the other polishes mentioned above. While you can apply by hand they are designed for machine application so consider it carefully. IPA wipe down after then seal paint with EX-P sealant bling! Put a close-up photo up, no matter what you use it may not get rid of it depending on how bad it is but you may be able to wet sand it and then polish it.
Post a pic I'll let you know |
