Evolve/Bilstein provide their own versions of items 3 (bump stop and piston shaft debris guard) and 4 (bump stop cap washer) so oem items 3 and 4 are no longer used.

PowerFlex upper RSM (rear shock mount) replace the upper mount bushings and washers (items 6 and 7, washers are shown integral to 6 and 7). I’d recommend the street performance (yellow) version which is not significantly stiffer than stock and are a good match with the improved performance of the Evolve/Bilstein B6 Damptronic sport dampers. I’m using the yellow on my ‘12 e92 M3 with JRZ RS1 dampers with 350/620 lbf/in.

i just went with OEM rear shock mounts...couldn't find many if any reviews of the PF yellows you speak of...

i just ordered the MSS kit...i am currently running swifts/OEM edc (@145K Km) but like the idea of one, having the spring setup used in mind when evolve design this B6 and two, having separate strut assemblies buttoned up so removal and install is a breeze...

another thing to note, with the MSS setup the upper and lower front spring pads are not reused on install, thus no need to order fresh pieces...

what are some thoughts on reusing securing bolts and nuts ?
for example, the six nuts on top mounts are 12.99usd/ea...!?!

You won’t find many reviews on e9x M RSMs because there aren’t many options. However, when you receive your new oem RSMs, compress one of the bushings (upper or lower half, doesn’t make a difference) between your fingers. You’ll quickly realize it is extremely soft. It’s the only thing connecting the upper end of a rear damper to the chassis. The damping forces, which are orders of magnitude higher than the force you applied to fully compress the bushing, are passed thru that bushing to be transferred into the chassis. A stiffer bushing improves control by passing the damping force more quickly with minimal deflection. The damping force is adjusted in milliseconds and the soft bushing can create a phase lag between the damper and spring.

BMW labels most suspension hardware as “one time use”; however, I’m made multiple spring changes during a track weekend and always reuse mounting hardware. I’ve had no issues reusing mounting hardware for the past 30 years. It’s not expensive so it you want a full refresh then replace the hardware, too.

Can you provide a powerflex part number for that? having trouble locating it.

I thought they had one for edc but BimmerWorld’s website says they’re not for edc dampers. I know we changed the RSMs on my wife’s ‘12 e92 M3 in 2013 and the only type I’ve used is PowerFlex and then we reused them when we switched to JRZ non-edc dampers. We either used it incorrectly but it worked or they offered one and have since stopped making them (not enough interest?)? Dinan is the only one to make a RSM for the e9x M3. However, it’s almo3x higher in cost than the PowerFlex RSM.

Do you have edc? If you do, PF does not offer a RSM that works with edc. This is clearly stated on their website for both the 10 mm and 12 mm piston rod diameters (see pics below). However, I recall using the PF 12 mm diameter yellow RSMs on my wife’s e92 m3 for a year before switching to a JRZ setup.
