EPS Speaker Rattling Sound
Just got my car three weeks ago and noticed my left door mid range speaker rattles with certain sounds. I haven't played the system to exacerbation, except for a few instances where switching sources and the dumbass system doesn't normalize levels properly. Going from DVD disc audio to other sources suddenly the system is blasting to distortion. My ears! F***!
Anyway, when I take it in for my break in service I'm going to point it out - see how they blow me off.

try turning off surround settings and set it to stereo instead.
solves the problem with bluetooth phone convos as well where speakers might have some rattling. |

Forgot about this post... had another post where I discussed what happened.
The dealer turned me down several times, so I found instructions to pull apart the tweeter assembly. It was fairly easy once you figured out the right motions (pull out, then shift up). After pulling apart I played the same music and heard no rattling, so I reassembled and everything is fine. I think the speaker was just seated poorly in the housing. Now there is still some rattling sound in that vacinity from road bumps. They are replacing my right door panel for the same sound from the accent light bar, the light strip is loose. It sounds like the same issue on the left side but can't pin point if it's the light bar. Can't wait to get a car that doesn't have issues finally when they fix this stuff.

Many EPS cars do this as you have explained. The problem either lies in the vapor barrier or the speaker grill, upon inspection they will determine which, unless of course that speaker driver is blown out and causing the noise.

I have the exact same issue and took it to the dealer last week but for some reason couldn't replicate it with my SA. It's mostly noticeable on bluetooth calls and it's coming from the right front side of the car.

Having the same issue with my passenger door Mid, I was going to take the car in to the dealer and it magically stopped. Go figure, I'm keeping a close ear on it though.

I seemed to have fixed the rattling from music, however, now there is a consistent tapping sound coming from the tweeter assembly over rough roads and any car rattles... very annoying sound. I should be able to reproduce next time at the dealer, but I'd sure as hell rather provide a document.

FYI I had this and also buzzing in right rear panel of e92 and I put some dynamat around the speakers on inside door panel and all large panels of door cards and got rid of everything and mid range sounds even better with well deadened door panels
