Bmw e87 obd Kline problem

Hi I have e87 with Kline obd light on I tested all and voltage are correct , it's was working until I remove headunit because I want to change wires to new one and I can't install it again until I install new wires , when I try to scan using ista nothing detected all ECU not respond , if headunit not installed Kline will not work ??

More details would probably help. "Kline"? Exhaust, maybe

Hard to imagine anything head unit or OBD with Kline suspension – the most common Kline around here.

Kline is an obd type have only one pin and the pin number is 7 , I can't scan my car , all ECU not responding and no information detected

Okay, so I'll try to decipher this here as there is clearly a language barrier to overcome.

By kline, I assume you mean K-line or K-CAN bus/diagnostics protocol. It's been ages since I did any meaningful work on E series, but isn't E87 D-CAN? DME might have the K-Line pin, but it's not connected to anything as far as I remember. K+DCAN cables should work, but K-Line dedicated most likely wont.

Not sure what are you referring to as head unit, but older BMW's had their gateways integrated to KOMBI (gauge cluster). If that is out, then bus users on other networks can't communicate, nor can you see them with diagnostic tools.

I mean head unit by DVD player , I use k+d can cable it's was work when music player was installed , but now not , I was remove music player because wiring was not good I order new wiring but not installed yet , So I just want to know if music player can stop obd communication with all ecu

Thanks for clarification. Does the car and its features, other than head unit related, actually work? If yes, then that would indicate HU indeed does play some sort of a gateway role for diagnostics equipment. Or you might have damaged some wiring during the works.

K-line was used until 2007/03 manufactured e90 e91 and e87
then it was removed and switch to D-CAN on different pins
so you need to clarify when you car is manufactured
