one of my videos from thursday. didnt catch my opening session which has the fastest laps due to fresh c51s. this is second session and lap 2 is a mid 1:53 and lap 3 is md 1:52 with a pass on mustang that slowed me down a bit. end of the video has me playing around with a gt3rs on hoosiers. most fun of the day was running nose to tail freight train on rest of field with santo in e92 and george in the gt3rs. we switched positions a few times and ended up getting the pass on gt3rs as he spun off at 11.

another video from this weeks sessions. only of interest because it shows me getting by the new vette in the first part of the session. he put a big gap on me down the front straight but not enough to hold me off by turn 8 after i closed considerably in the carousel.




Later in the day i heard an instructor telling someone their demo z51 was way faster than my car so i proceeded to follow him out and passed him without any struggle?

got in a set of bfg r1 in 265 since run so wide, a set of maxis rc1 also to give a try as a replacement for nt01s, and a set of conti scrubs from another member. goal is to try out most of the radial rcomps and see which i like best in terms of lap times and which is the bargain to be used more regularly that last longer and dont fall off too bad.

I can barely see through the windows in that pic, but it appears you've install the factory code: ZXXX option? e.g. stripper pole?

im on MCS DBL internal (no canister) too many adjustments for novice guys like me =) - using 550/650 hyperco springs. My car nonstreet legal/stripper so a bit lighter.

I dont have much experience/slow learner so i tried softer springs (450/550) to slow things down - after about 6 events, im changing back to 550/650. Too soft. I alsl disconnected rear sway bar and have GC front on full soft... testing continues.

is it an e46 i take it? yeah i wasnt sure about adjusting the doubles or triples myself and am happy with the single for now. love my spring rates and think about right. wouldnt want to go less. I also have gc bars but dont remember settings. what is the weight of your car? hoping to get to 2800 this winter with some more stuff pulled.

update. ordered an electric garage heater for working on the car this winter and to maintain temp high enough for rcomps in there. excited to have it. just gotta hard wire the thing with 240v and 30 amp breaker.

yes 2002 e46 m3.

my car weights 2632lb w 7/8th fuel full.. needle about 3 mm left of full mark.. is that 7/8th or about 15 gallons of fuel?

One of the challenges I had was the car not having enough mechanical grip and rear being loose with rear csl sway so im disconnecting them. Im using 275 square nt01 w 3.6/2.3 camber and 1mm toe out (f) and 1.5 toe in (r). ive been trying to run 32/34 hot regarding tire pressure.

Your not new if you have a 2600lb e46. I'm in the process of trying out various rcomps.

Im not adding aero (nor ready) and will continue to use nt01 - just got to fine tune suspension to increase mechanical grip, what else can you do?

I talked to Lex at MCS - he says "usually as far as rebound rules, with front engine rear wheel drive cars (like ours) the rear rebound is usually lower than front rebound. I may be taking his quote our of context but it kinda made sense when we were discussing "loose rear end"

what tires do you have in mind?

as mentioned above i am trying various rcomps out over this next year. just had a set of hankook c51. next i have bfg r1, maxis rc1 and continental scrubs. thought i would also try hoosier r6, kumho v710 and maybe toyo rr.
