Not a fan of convertibles, but the C7 Corvette (any form) is a hell of a car! I sorta wish I had gotten a C7 Stingray rather than the 335i. I know they are vastly different cars. Maybe one day...

I like the fixed roof C7 but am waiting to see how the Alfa 4c, F80 M3, 2015 C63, Cayman GTS and Mustang GT350 pan out.

Even the refreshed 335 with new motor is interesting

Great time to be a car enthusiast.

Very possibly in my future. The problem with buying Corvettes is not the Corvette. Obviously this is the one our generation will lust after and talk about for years to come.

The problem with buying a Corvette is the family you are marrying into. A bunch of old white dudes with chest hair and some sort of gold accessories. And mustaches. Heavy cologne. Gum disease and bad breath. You get the picture. It's kind of like buying a Subaru STI or a Civic SI. The stigma and bad company comes with the car.

Lol! Which bimmer? They've got like 500 of them now. My guess is the C7 will make the M6 look like it's bitch when it's done with it.

Has there been a comparison between the base C7 with the z51 track package vs an M6? I'd almost bet that the base C7 Would have it's way with the M6 around a track. The Z06 is going to make cars much more expensive than the M6 look slow.

No, significantly better if the C6 Z06 is of any indication.

M6 drivers != Corvette drivers. Not even close. Completely different expectations & driving experience.

The more I look at it, the more I realize how busy it is.

There's just too much goin on. Almost looks like a car that should be at SEMA, not on an actual showroom floor.

I guess it's just too loud, particularly from the rear.

I don't think he was saying that M6 and Z06 drivers are the same. He was speaking to what each car is capable of from a performance standpoint.

That said, the M6 obviously is no slouch itself. I'm sure most of us would rather an M6 over a Corvette given the cars we drive now, but that's not to suggest the Corvette is a POS or anything. Far from it.

Plus it has push button start...so they won't have to worry about their ignition killing a handful of people (couldn't help myself).

This car is a monstrosity. But I'm sure its fun to ride.
(insert mother joke here)

Anyway assuming most BMW owners have good taste with a preference for subtleness, I wouldn't expect any comparison shoppers.

I agree. I have never been a fan and this update doesn't change my view.

Yes, I like Corvettes as I'm not an elitist like some but I find the rear to be absolutely eye hurting.

First, the 4 exhaust tips all being close together is hard to get used to but that along WITH that ugly ass spoiler and it looks like something from an '80s videogame that took place in the future.

A friend of mine was considering the new C7 Corvette, a used BMW M3, or a used Carrera S. People definitely cross shop those vehicles. He ended up buying a 2012 M3.
