whats with the new 7 series?

i remember reading a long time ago in a magazine about the new 7 series and thought it looked pretty cool and i havent heard anything about them since. so does anybody know what the deal is with them and are the going to make any fast 7 series besides a B7 or something?

But one of the main competitors of the 7 is the S class which has the same sweet engine as the OP's car (SL 65 AMG) and runs 0-60 in the low 4s (At least)

The SL 65 does not compete with the 7 series, because BMW does not choose to compete with it. (They don't make a huge ass engined 7)

I guess you're right, but the S600 probably some what competes and is much faster.

The S600 sorta competes with the 760Li, but it's still more expensive.

72 horsepower (and some torque), about a second difference to 60 (dunno about top end), ~$20,000, your call.

But I agree, if we were to compare an MB and BMW sedan it'd be those two. BMW's top and MB's second to the top.

Next 7 is gonna have a twin turbo V12... since the V6 pushes out 300+ hp, the new V8 400+.... I can only imagine that this V12 is gonna be 550, maybe even 600 horses. It'll be the perfect competitor for the S600 then.

yeah it would be a good competitior for the S600, but im going to have to bring in the S65, i would say it would be a good competitor to it but the amgs just have too much tq
