Brake Pedal Height M3

I wanted to tighten up the free play in my brake pedal.I like a hard pedal.
My DD had a adjustable shaft between the pedal and booster allowing you to set this. The M3 doesn't appear to allow for this setting.Although there is a rubber boot on the shaft of the rod between the pedal and booster. Does anybody know if the is an adjustment to be made inside this boot. It appears to be a royal pain to slide the boot out of the way on said shaft. Any info on this would be appreciated.

Thanks, Philip 2011M3
