2010 X3 4 holes drilled in the floor

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
My first post, and this is a crazy one. My wife just purchased a 2010 x3 with 30k miles, the car looks to be in perfect shape, it's a one owner and BMW certified. There a 4 holes drilled in the floor (through the carpet) on the driver's side about 8" in front of the gas and brake pedal, which are about an inch deep. I do not see that these holes go all the way through. You can sort o see a depression in the carpet, like something was installed here The dealer has no idea what this was, and I can't think of anything either... so I thought I'd ask you guys.

I will post a pic soon, no way this is from floor mats. the holes are apx 8-10" apart length wise by apx 3-4" width. small area in the area of the plastic/rubber foot pad area.

Maybe some sort of extension so the previous owner could reach the pedals?

That must be it. I looked for pedal extensions and did not come across a system that bolted to the floor. Thanks... I feel a little better now.

That's some pretty dirty carpet for a CPO car.

It sure is, the rest the car, interior/exterior is mint. they did clean the carpets and gave us new mats. maybe we shoud of seen if they would of replaced the entire carpet, it's just the driver's side that looks bad.

yes, the carpet is dirty, not to mention the fact that it has FOUR HUGE HOLES DRILLED INTO IT. CPO car? I'd get a new carpet out of it. That's ridiculous.
