Don't have my software to get at exactly 100%, but this is close:

Here's another from the trip. I'm amazed at the detail I'm getting with my 5DsR. I posted large, so that you can get some idea, but the details are crystal clear at 100% and far beyond. Can't wait to do a big print:

Another beauty of a shot, DC. Your 100% crop shows some of the moire issues along the white railings above the Eolo Ristorante canopy one might expect to find on a camera with no sensor filter. You might want to take a shot at correcting that before you print large. A simple lowering of saturation in that area might do the trick. Use the sponge tool set to desat and a flow of about 75%. Takes the moire right out.

Live webcam of that area.

^ Two nice shots.

Assuming you guys use auto focus...do you find that it sometimes focuses on the surrounding grasses or plant life? Or do you use a single AF point for these shots?

Single-point AF, to avoid focusing one something other than the eye. For bird in flight, against a clear sky, I might use 12-points. For travel and landscape, I turn them all on, but pay attention to which ones are activating and occasionally steer to a sector.

Pretty much what Dave said, although I usually use single point expanded. On my v1 500, it does occasionally lock onto bits of grass or vegetation around the animal if I am shooting from a distance. That's why I take a bunch of exposures, refocusing several times.

FedEx says my v2 is arriving tomorrow. I'm glad I work from home on Mondays and Tuesday's now as a signature is definately required, and I won't have to chase the package around.

Fabulous wildlife shots guys.
I'm over on the west coast of Scotland for a week, walking, climbing and taking a few piccies.

Here's one from today, taken on a long walk along Loch Shiel from Glenfinnan.
This is 'The Jacobite', steam hauled from Fort William to Mallaig, crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct and passing the memorial to the original Jacobite, Bonnie Prince Charlie, who first raised his standard here, to start the Jacobite rebellion in 1745.

Alan, nice shot of the valley, train, clouds, etc. The light and composition really work well to make this shot more than it might be in other hands.

Great shots here. Love the train, Alan. Great BFIF shot, DC.

I finally got around to processing my shots from our last GPBFC shoot. Hundreds of butterflies. Monarchs everywhere.

A shot only a electrician can appreciate. PG&E recabling the transmission lines from Antioch to Orinda in 100 degree weather. The hook is lifting the cable to the rollers and it is probably just over a inch in diameter. I think it is a 230K line.
