fog lights on M cars?

in the current M lineup (M3,M5,M6) do any come with fog lights?

i also noticed, from pictures, it appears the 135i (which as you know has an M aero kit standard) does not have fogs either?

M3 does not...not sure about the others.

I believe there are brake cooling ducts on the M3 where the fogs would go. Besides, who honestly needs foglights?

In 7 years of driving my 325i, I probably turned them on 3 times...only to find they were pretty much useless.

Nope, none of the M cars come with fogs.

The fogs impede airflow, therefore they've been deleted from M cars.

The old e46 M3 did, not the CSL version though.

They also unnecessarily increase weight. BMW won't be putting fogs in their M cars anymore.

It is actually. I can't find the picture but there's a press release info thingy that has a page entailing the design reasoning for the front end of the car. MTV's spot on.

i'm also assuming all M cars come with xenon headlamps... making fogs far less needed.

Yea US spec e46 m3s don't have brake ducts. Also brake ducts cause drag as well.

Makes sense. Is the oil cooler the exposed radiator looking thing in the passenger front wheelwell?

can't be too much use to them.... the openings are blocked up about 75% on the US M's. supposedly there were issues with too much water when raining hitting the brakes and causing delayed braking action.

None of the M cars come with fog lamps. normal BMW with the M-sport package do.

if fog lights decrease performance on a 400+HP car, then something is very wrong

Was I hallucinating or have I not seen driving lights (foglights) on an E46 M3?
Put the bong down and no one will get hurt! Yeah I agree, how could maybe 6 extra lbs of glass/plastic affect the performance of a 414 HP sports car?
