What kind of medication can combat stress?
We all face problems in work and relationship. It comes to a point that we get tired and has been stressed out. However, I heard there are good medications that can combat stress. What are those?

The best medication for me is music or a long walk in the outdoors. Don’t look for a pill to solve your problems.

Diet has a lot to do with stress, sleep quality etc. Take a look at that as well.

I agree. Pills are not the answer.

Thanks to all your responses and piece of advice. However, I won't engage in drugs to combat stress. Maybe, relaxation is all I need and when it comes to a point that it needs serious attention, an immediate neighbor recommended me to take some time and consider relevant counseling. I guess, she has a point. I hope it will help me too.

I lost focus all too often as well, got stressed massively.
A lot of conversations with good friends helped, hence counseling might be a good point to start. Also, try to define the important things in your life and focus on them. Cut all the other crap off, a little bit like a diet. What helped me lately as well, was an app called "headspace", which basically is guided meditation. Physical work, workouts and "me"-time can significantly brighten up my day too. Don't go for pills without seeking medical guidance on the same. |

These have been my go to's for years. Honestly, I use sex for exercise and need to get a gym membership soon. The latter I am currently not taking part in due to recent changes in policies at work. I'm hoping that it ends soon.....very soon. This was also how I dealt with my PTSD.....the reign of terror that has come with cessation is unbearable.

Biggest mood boosters for me are lifting, eating healthy, sleeping enough, and a long evening/night walk to collect my thoughts. The weather always affects my mood. i shouldn't let it, but it does (which is why I intend on settling my roots in Southern California). Also, occasionally getting fuked up with the boys is always fun.
Basically, there is no "magic" pill. There are lifestyle and mental changes one needs to make. |
