Smile Insanity Fitness Program

Hey guys, just wanted to see if anyone else is on this program. I just started yesterday and finished my second day today. I think it would be cool to talk about our progress like the P90x thread. So if there are any other people out there that are currently in the program, feel free to share your thoughts here.

Keep at it!

Finished the first month, got into the first week of the second....the learning curve was like starting from Day 1 again. I had to work slowly into it even after finishing the first month without a problem. But finals and a trip to Tokyo took it all away..gotta resume soon.

some of those basketball drills really got me. I played some ball in highschool and this was much more intense for me.

My wife and I both are hooked, it is a great program so far. we are late 40's so we aren't running full throttle on the drills yet, going at our own pace, still seeing an improvement.

Oh yeah..definitely got results..I could both feel it(while playing basketball) and see it. The only thing that surprised be a bit was how much muscle mass I gained..even though most of this stuff is intense cardio.

Took the weekend off but picked back up with Cardio Power and Resistance this morning, workout #11, feel great, stretches are starting to really get better. I still can't go full out on all of the drills but push a little harder each time.

I'm personally not really following the P90X or Insanity programs but I just recently added in the Insanity exercises to my workouts. I do Insanity 3 times a week 2 hrs after my dinner.

My workout setup is pretty much like this:

1)Pre lunch workout (strength/muscle building) 1hr
2)Post dinner workout (cardio/circuit) 35-50min depending on body fatigue

I think it's a pretty good workout and it makes you sweat while keeping ur heart rate up.

Just finished day 3 of Insanity and it is seriously kicking my ass! This morning i did the Plyometric Cardio Circuity routine and I was literally cussing at the screen when I went into the globe jumps for the third time!

One thing I wish these DVDs had was a longer stretch routine. I feel like you only hold a stretch for 8 seconds max and there's only a few stretches being done total. Also I'm surprised there is no calf stretch at the end. With all the jumping you are working the calf muscles pretty hard I would think.

Haha I'd be PISSED if I lived under you. Lucky for me I live on the first floor of my building so I can do my globe jumps while cussing at Shaun T as much as I want!!

By the way, did anyone else have a sore lower back in the first few days? I tried searching the forums at beachbody but it's pretty tough to sort through all the questions. I feel like that area of my core is probably just weak and not used to the activity, especially because a lot of the exercises involve reaching over and touching the floor, but I just want to make sure I'm not using bad form and risking injury.

ive had back problems going into this workout but ever since working out, my back hasnt given me any problems. Id suggest pushing your stretch routine a little longer. Id make a list of all the different stretches used in the dvd and do it at your own pace then jump into the workouts on the dvd.

Just finished my first week and it feels great, im just waiting to see some weight loss. I feel a lot stronger than before the workout though.

This morning was Pure Cardio AND Cardio ABS....

Had to stop, and push play again to get to Cardio ABS, adds 16 minutes to the routine, some excellent AB work, without doing any crunches.

I think I am going to repeat the AB work with my wife tonight when she does it.

Just don't overdo ur abs, they need to heal just like every other muscle in ur body.
