Would you buy a lemon?

Hey everyone my name is Justin and I am looking to buy a used 08 Black on Black 135I. I have found one at a local lot but it has a "buyback" title. It was a buyback in California because of the injector and fuel pump problems. I have verified that on Dealerspeed.net. They are asking $25,000 with 43,000 miles pretty basic car heated seats, sport pkg, Boston leather nothing fancy. Does this sound fair? Would you worry about the backback on the title?

Thanks!

Based on the above numbers...I'd say no way. That's not a good enough deal to risk a potential problem.

Check out the "Cars for Sale" forum. Many nice cars there for similar money. At least in our forum, you can speak to the actual owner of the car and make a better decision.

Based on the above...I vote NO!

why bother? You'll have a tough time selling it down the road. I'd pass.

yea, thats a negative.. that car is marked "damaged goods" like a melon that got dropped at the grocery. 50% off retail or no go.

No way dont waste your money. That price is only about 5k cheaper than i t would be if it did not have any issues. If you could get it for like 21k then maybe.

The money you save up front will end up being spent later on in maintenance.

I passed on it - like most have said above it's just not a good enough deal for it to make sense long trim. Thanks for the input.

I would pass unless you can get them down to $20K.

Don't do it! Huge mistake, and with that price you can find something similar with a clear title

Carfax! If it looks good you should be fine. Although it does seem pretty cheap. Remember you get what you pay for!

When I bought my e46 325i, you could consider it a lemon.

Bought it for cheap, threw in another 5 grand and boom.

Not a lemon
