Very nice MashinBenzin good stats. Similar here 11,000+ miles for the year, maybe 1000 of those from SCs. So the below would be for 10,000 miles, cheap as chips lol.

7320 kwh approx of charge at home, at 7.5p per KwH is less than £600 inc VAT on home charging over 21 months. Add about £800 on charging in the wild in that and I'm averaging less than £70 a month on fuel costs for the Jag at 1000 miles a month.

The RS4 was about £250 a month for 1000 miles.

Don't let me put you off! As I said, you may have many reasons for wanting to make the change and financials perhaps just part of it. I was just pointing out that if the financials are your only reason for considering the change, it's perhaps not the win you think it is.

From what I've seen on here you really like your 440i. Had you been considering a change prior to seeing the sal sac deals?

No point sacrificing all the enjoyment today for a tomorrow that may never come. But mustn't go so crazy today that you're getting the bus tomorrow! Life's all about living and experiences... as long as it's within your means!

That's why you should set aside your savings / financial future when you get paid and then what is left can be enjoyed after the bills are sorted....

If only I'd had that sense when I was younger....

Evening,

I think I've made my mind up, my girlfriend and I are preparing for a youngster to arrive and so moving away from a 2 door coupe is inevitable.. Think I have settled on the Volvo EX30 Dual Motor Ultra. It's fast, more practical, stylish (I think) and got all the tech I could want.

My work scheme comes in at £514 a month for 10k miles a year, 42 month lease, insurance, servicing, tyres etc.

From the road tests I've seen the back is quite compact on the EX30 so check out room for baby seat / your gf before you order...

But otherwise a great EV.

Isn't that the point of 'youthful naivety' though?

If we were wise when we were young, we would have been a) boring, b) have nothing to look forward to and c) not helped the wider economy as much?

Yeah the M2 deal doesn't include insurance, tyres, servicing & tax...

I like your thinking though
