Installing back-up camera on 08 with idrive

Is it pretty easy to install a backup camera into the idrive system? Is there a rca port and reverse sensor?

i would like to know as well, but i dont think its that simple. I think you need a media adapter which has to be pined to the radio harness.

I trust Mike to do really good work, he has coded my M3 and my winter car (335x GT).

Had not noticed this camera retrofit - especially the front camera. I had looked into getting the front PDC but this is better. I hate parking nose in with those pre-cast concrete curbs. Last month I saw a Frozen Silverstone M3 bleeding vital fluids after banging into such a curb. The investment in this setup would be cheaper than repairs.

If you have a 3-series with the CCC iDrive your options are limited to the BimmerTech rear view camera which works in full screen mode and has static parking lines. Also the front camera can be added to this kit.
