it's because the m3 is not new to that year, maybe 2011 after the LCI the m3 can be in it but definitely not 2012

Thanks for the info. My wife likes that little nose holes on Black Series, and I don't want to pay 90k on used Black series. lol
If 507 is cheaper, I might get that. Since she won't know the difference in HP, I might just get regular c63 and put a new hood?

Next question is
what are exact HP on:
Black series-
507-
Regular c63 hp went up from 2014?

Sorry for lack of MB knowledge. I am ready to be schooled on Daimler products.

Before Hurricane Sandy i've owned a 2012 C63 Coupe p31 package White/red interior.
Let me start with the Engine it's a complete BEAST. I wish i could do a engine swap because in a heart beat ill take that 6.2. The interior was nice at the time but now that i look at it; it's sort of out dated compared to the new models. The shape was nice but at certain angels it would honestly look like a Honda Accord. The transmission sucks (really sucks). The aftermarket support was crap back then but now you have stuff from like ModeCarbon. My feeling towards the C63 coupe dropped because day by day it was a car that i got used to. After Sandy since my car was under water, i looked into BMW. i remember i always wanted an M3. even when i bought my C63 the M3 was a question in mind. every time id pull up to an M3 coupe in my C63 coupe i'd look over and become stunned with the looks every time. So after Sandy i picked up a 6 speed Limited Lime Rock Edition = now i'm one of the happiest and most satisfied guys on the planet. it's funny because i've owned both cars for the same amount of time and i've never questioned about sell/switching. it's a timeless look and feel. A classic bmw m3.

I wouldn't go for the black series unless you are really after a rare car.

the 507 has 507HP
and BS has 510 HP.
regular car is still rated at 451

Thanks for the info.
This was far faster than searching on the daimler product forums for hours searching.

Well, there's also a C63 with P31 package: 481 HP with a LSD instead of an open rear diff.

That said, at this point, a 20k miles CLK BS is about the same price as a 10k or less miles 507.

P31s are slight cheaper depending on year and mileage (though very hard to find), and standard civic C63s are much cheaper.

with a 507, you get updated electronics, MCT, and a warranty.

After watching quite a few videos of both, I would say the C63 BS seems a little bit more of a beast. But I'd rather have a GT3 RS

What a difference of 8yrs has been.
8yrs ago right after marriage, we were driving 1991 Accord LX with lots of damaged stuff. That was an early Christmas bonus on year 2006 from my workplace. I was drooling on Audi "A"4 at that time.

Anyways. Going back to the topic.
my wife said she does like BS, but not in our car budget after buying too many vehicles this year. I think she will be happy with C63AMG sedan, but I really like that hood vent. Found out 507/BS offers it. Or we can just go cheap, and just buy the vent hood (oem or aftermarket).

I think we are still about 5month out. Also, W205 is out of question for it being a turbo. (although we do own one turbo car).

Again, any schooling would be greatly appreciated on C63 AMG BS/507/P13/Reg.

The C63 Black Series is a serious machine. In stock form the power is fantastic and the exhaust note IMO is wonderful. This is currently one of my favorite cars to drive. The transmission does not shift as fast as DCT but it is an upgrade from the standard C63. We will be supercharging ours soon

Well if you're serious about buying one, you need to call the VIN into the dealership to make sure it got it's headbolts replaced. It's a major issue affecting 2008 - 201(?)1 model years.

Again, I would go with a 2012 model to get the MCT, and the P31 or 507 to get the LSD. It's still pretty expensive, those specs command a premium and there are more 507s for sale than P31s. It's very rare to find a standard C63 with the stand alone LSD option.

Back in 2006, I was driving a Evo 8 and thought I had it made. haha

Yeah. 2012+ is a must according to many many advice.

If you were druving Evo 8 around 2006 and if i saw you then, I would probably would thought you were really well off.

i drove a clk bs. great car but i prefer my c63 p31 over it.

compared to the m3 i wrote the following in another thread:

i recently changed my dd from an E61 5-series (which had various annoying issues i didn't know from my older BMWs) to a C63T-P31.

i really love the c63 and its engine although i am really no fan of the brand in general (i always prefered bmw and porsche and still do, but the C63 is something special). straight line performance is incredible, even compared to the E92. the sound is wonderful, even in stock config (e92 needs at least the well-known mod to sound like it should).
you really can feel the massive torque of the 6.2l enging! and there is so much more performance sleeping in it with some software upgrade and after installing a shorter ring and pinion (as the stock 2.82 final drive could bring you to a theoretical yet mad ~410km/h). but as i drive this as a daily driver it is nice to drive 200km/h with 3.500U/min... my E92 6MT makes 130 at 3.500 with the original final drive.

when driven hard (or in the wet in general) the c63 has massive traction problems. i really love that and with the (optional but absolutely necessary) clutch-type lsd you can have so much fun...

the M3 has the slow-performing viscolok lsd as standard. it really annoyed me and upgrading to a clutch-type lsd is a must-do if you want to have the same fun like in the merc.

as my M3 is not only upgraded at the lsd-side and i need to compare coupé vs. touring this is not really objective but i indeed think that the M3 is the sportscar of these two while the merc is a rocket that definitely is fun to drive on winding roads. but it is not as focused and involving as the M3 (especially in 6MT version)! i also clearly feel the weight of the C63t when pushing hard... especially under braking. the M3 feels lighter... and actually is.

anyway... i love both... and i don't think there is a real winner or looser when comparing these two cars. both are great and both have their special pros (and nearly no cons... except fuel consumption maybe *lol*).

well, it is not a conventional visco coupler but a moly/steel clutchpack that is engaged by a visco-pump that pushes a piston on that package. so it actually is a little better than the old visco coupler but way slower than a real clutch-type lsd that is engaged immediately via applied torque.

but this is a littly off topic here. if you are interested in in-depth m3 lsd infos check this thread: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788992

i even have a disassembled c63 and a sls lsd unit here, if anybody is interested in what is inside there and what it looks like ;-)

hmm, I am interested in LSD design. I came from an Evo 8, where all people talked about were LSD and center differential designs, and which is more advantageous vs an STi's torsen rear, and (clutch type?) center.

real world differences are small and more dependent on if you're a professional driver or not. Otherwise, no one can tell a difference on a street driven car. (just like if you have ZCP suspension or not).

Having had two Evos - 05 Evo 8 and 08 Evo X, LSDs makes a big difference. The 05+ Evo had a front LSD and active center diff that was absent in the 03-04 - it makes a huge difference.

Then the S-AYC in the Evo X made it handle more like an RWD car than AWD, really rotates and you can hang the rear out.

And before then, my friends and I were sticking locking LSDs into our S13 240SX so we can have fun sliding around...
