Meisterschaft Super GT Titanium "ULT" + RPI GT Catless and unresonated X-Pipe
So I have been looking for a really loud exhaust to put on my car and figured Meisterschaft Super GT would be it. After installing it on my RPI GT catless and unresonated x-pipe, well I got someone a bit more than I expected. So that being said I need a bit help trying to quiet this thing down. My questions are would 4 extra quiet resonators help? How about 4 resonators and an electronic valve to be 80% closed at the x-pipe for less straight flow for regular driving? I am not sure what to do at this point.

Also if anyone thinks putting in 200 cell HFC and 4 ultra quiet resonators will make my setup like 20-30% quieter I can leave with that I think.

sounds awesome, but that setup is very difficult to DD. i also recommend selling the super gt and getting an IPE valvetronic so you have more control of when to be crazy loud.
adding high flow cats would help, 4 resonators alone might not do much from my experience |

That's just insane...so basically what you've got is straight pipes Can only imagine how loud that is in the city. People with the regular Meisterschaft GT exhaust (the "quiet" one) have said even that becomes too loud when they just switch to HFCs!

I would ditch the aftermarket Xpipe or test pipes all together and just keep the rear Super GT section. It will sound a lot better than the IPE (way too raspy IMO).

I think I have the perfect "loud" but want a different rear section. I have the megan rear with ACM test pipes. I wonder if I could just change out the tips to 90mm black tips..

lol so many haters... it's loud... get over it. If you prefer your stock exhaust that's cool, but don't hate on the guy for actually wanting to hear his car when he steps on the throttle... It's like you guys have never been to a single motorsport event...
I have a similar setup, RPI catless X, but I'm running Eisenmann Race instead. I'm not really sure if upgrading to the overpriced IPE mufflers is the best solution, but my 2 cents is to swap out the X pipe. It's cheaper, and it gets the job done. Meister is notorious for being overwhelming, and I've never heard it in person, but I can't imagine it being too much worse than Emann Race. I don't daily my M, but as long as I'm not going everywhere at WoT, I really don't mind it.

Iv had the ipe for a bout three weeks now I don't see my self getting rid of this one. It's extremely loud when open prob the loudest street car iv heard thus far. When off it's quite ...zero drone... Might be less noise than stock ( it's bin a while)

This is essential just straight pipes and can be done for cheap. That super gt muffler is a joke and 2 long resonators will eliminate a lot of the rasp.

I also have a "real muffler" well at least i think the Akrapovic is legit enough, but even that with the catless setup sounds like a V8 rattle can past 3,500 RPM, I also have a dual resonatedl x-pipe that didn't help much in making it sound "good" only took out the minimal drone I had.

I like how it sounds, just don't want it that loud. If I can get noise levels down with same exhaust note I would be sold to keep the Super GT. My Akra also sound so raspy with Aftermarket X-pipe.

My Meisterschaft GT2 sounded the exact same way with HFC's + 1 set of resonators so I just swapped back to the stock x-pipe and absolutely love the GT2 by itself. It's the most aggressive sounded exhaust on the E9x platform IMO and I get complements all the time on how growly it sounds.
I don't miss the performance benefits of running catless/HFC's due to the supercharger . Oh, and emissions testing is a breeze (same as stock).

I used to own both e46 325i and m3 and both of them were straight piped with cats, this is on anothet level on loud. My friend has the Eisenmann Race with the challenge catless x-pipe and it's loud but not as intense and ear damaging as the Super GT (video does about 60% justice the other 40% is done through the drivers ear bleeding especially with the E93) I might just put the Fabspeed HFC and 4 custom resonatos on the x-pipe and see if that would help it. Mine is sort of a daily.. I drive it a few times a week and once a week into Manhattan, attracts really bad attention. |
