How to tell if wheels are genuine?

Can anyone help with the above, specifically for the Matt black 18” 405m winter wheels?

BMW part number should be etched on car-side of rim hub.

Thanks,

Is this the case for the winter variants also? Is there any other way to tell?

It's very difficult to see on these wheels in particular - but it is there. If you shine a torch around the rim and really look for it, you should see it.

Thanks!

Do you have a picture of what I’m actually looking for?

You may get a better response if you post this in the main section, not everyone looks in the classifieds.... Just saying

Although I can't comment on these particular wheels, I've had numerous styles of original BMW wheels, all of which have had clearly stamped numbers on the back.

It's not in the traditional position on 405Ms and matt black makes it tricky to see.

Garage List
The smaller spokes on 405m replica's are usually thinner and a lot more rounded the the genuine wheels. Once you've seen it you can spot the reps easily.

Top one is genuine, bottom is a replica

If they corrode, they are genuine.
