I know what I am about to say is going to sound crazy to some, but, the e9x M3 is fast enough for my taste. Lighter would be better for improved handling and driving dynamics, but BMW should have just made some evolutionary changes to the S65 or just put the GTS engine into the lighter(should have shaved slightly more weight than they actually did) F car and call it a day.

I know I'm beating a
Your not alone, the S65 GTS engine at 4.4L would have been the natural evolution and better choice IMHO. The S55 is impressive but at the end of the day BMW did it to make more money by no longer having a bespoke M motor. GRRRRR.

Having said that I may consider a M4 if they do a CSL/GTS version for all of us.

That camera car pretty much was dead even with the M4 up top. Any ideas of the power mods of all 3?

M4's are pretty buff.

I dyno'd a few back to back over the weekend. the 419 is from a 6MT (I dyno'd it myself), 396 is from a DCT (Cautious owner) and the 371 is from my car.

No clue, I was just browsing youtube and came across it (I have no affiliation with any of them).

Nice video. Thanks for sharing. Still will always be partial to the sound of the V8 in the E90/E92/E93.

On this video it says the M3 has a blower.

You are by far the worst poster in this section.

Why don't you take your fan-boy-ism to the M4 section instead of trolling here.

Because I see a video which doesn't indicate that the E92 M3 is supercharged, so I call bs? I even took the liberty of checking the video out on youtube and it only indicated that the E92 M3 had some bolt ons and a tune. Its not secret that it will take more than just bolt ons for an E92 M3 to beat an M4. Maybe if the video stated that the car was supercharged, my response would have been different. So I wouldn't call that being a fan boy. I've personally witnessed an M4 run and my friend's E92 M3 with exhaust, test pipes, and a tune... and the results were not similar to what this video displays... So you can run along with your lame opinion. Thanks.

Can't compare a JB4 M4 to FBO E92. He's got 100whp on you. When I had my ESS 535 and 450 whp I was a consistent 11.5-7 at 120-123mph but my 60ft were 1.7ish using launch control and drag radials. Both the 60fts on these cars are horrible!

A m4 will need more than FBO's and a tune to beat a supercharged 625+ e9x m3.

They will need upgraded turbo's IMO. Also, someone needs to crack the DME because a piggy back won't get it done fully with the upgraded turbo's. You need a flash to have complete control and get the most hp/tq.

Josh's F80 M3 was not running that great compared to the two other M3/4's that were in attendance of the event.

I think Josh was trapping mid-140's and the two others including the BMS Tuning shop car were trapping mid-150's so it would have been a better race.

I will be running the BMS Tuning shop M3 at NoFlyZone in two weeks with my ESS 650. That car dyno'd mid 500s to the wheels so peak HP numbers are similar. Should be a pretty close race.

In this thread, post number 46, the guy claims to know the driver and said it was running fine.

I think your 650 car should walk away pretty good, i guess we'll see in a couple weeks.

I'm friends with both drivers in this race and I was in attendance of this event. They presume josh had a bad batch of MS109.

The m4's were spinning a bit in the initial hit, so I may get the jump and with equal power and same DCT trans, I should be able to hold the lead, even though M4 is lighter. But terminal trap speeds may be close.

F8X needs race / E85 fuel, max power tune with downpipes to run with a standard VT2-585/625 supercharged E9X on pump gas. I have an M4 that is tuned and it does not have enough top end power to beat our SC E9X cars at high speed. The F8X actually has too much power at lower RPM's that causes traction issues when you crank the boost up. I detuned mine below 4.5k RPM's with our tune and ran close to stock boost so I can get better traction under WOT. Once you upgrade the turbos in the F8X and if the motor can handle it then you will see the F8X get to that next performance level.
