Quickest Car to fit my budget.

I soon hope to be the proud owner of a new Bimmer.

I have $4-5 thousand to put down
Plus $12,000 trade in
And I want to spend about $420 per month

Help me find the quickest, best to live with car I can afford. You're opinions matter, because I want a car I can really get to know.

Thanks!

I would look at a 2006 E46 M3 or 2006-2008 E86 M Coupe. 370z is also an option.

Good luck.

You probably can get one in budget.

The potential issues would be maintenance costs out of warranty. Not pretty.

2008 M3 with 80k +miles or a 2010 335i with 40k +miles

Or a brand new Mustang GT. with your cash down and trade in, it'll be good to establish your credit as well.

Have you considered how much you'll spend on gas, maintenance, and insurance?

Gas maintenance and insurance are not a concern.

I have excellent credit. I don't want more than 45k miles on the M3. I've found a few nearby

I hate to burst your bubble but if you want an E92 with less than 45K miles is like asking a high class hooker to fuck your brains out for $10 bucks!!

If you wanna play, you gotta pay and dish out that mullah man!

135i. Smaller, lighter, and more nimble than a 335i. Great car for the money.

Well said. Although, you're a short train ride away from a $10 hooker.

Get an n54 335 (2007-2010). Then get a tune, DCI, down pipe, water/meth injection and an LSD and your 335 will be as fast as a stg 1 supercharged M3 (in a straight line).

Put that money towards a nice e46 m3. Has all the driving dynamics of the current m3 and some would say is even a better all around sportier car. Will not be the fastest but for the money, gobs better overall performance than the rest. I still love the e46 m3. I just dont get excited about non m 3series. I dont know why.

If you want something quick, get a 2013/2014 Mustang GT Premium with GT Track Pack or Boss 302, Camaro SS 1LE.

Pen Fed is the way to go

I pay $540 a month in a Pen Fed loan with zero down on a 2011 I bought in February.

If you join and have good credit the loans are low interest and they give you a balloon at the end of five years so you get lease payments plus you won the car. As income goes up pay more to reduce balloon.

How long did you want to finance for? The term will greatly affect your monthly payment. If you do a 60-Month Term, with $12K trade and $5K down, you can probably afford around $40K car depending on your APR. If you do 48-Months, a car around $34K. 36-Months would be around $30K. You get the idea.

A high mileage E9X M3
A low mileage E46 M3
A current Mustang GT
and my sleeper pick is a Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track

OP, for how many months? It seems that rather than worrying about monthly payments you should figure out what you're actual budget for the car is.
