Elusive misfires, what next?
Was getting misfires on cylinders 1,2, and 3 with a rough idle and hesitation while cruising at steady RPMs.
Had codes for: 2AAF fuel pump plausibily (HPFP and LPFP were fine) 2A2B Mixture control 29E0 Mixure control 29CD Misfire cylinder 1 29CF Misfire Cylinder 2 29CE Misfire Cylinder 3 29CC misfires, several cylinders 2C27 Oxygen sensor before cat converter, system check 2C3B Oxygen sensor before cat converter, not conected I changed all 6 spark plugs, 6 coilpacks, injectors 1,2, and 3, coded the injectors correctly, replaced the low pressure fuel pump, and have gotten a walnut blast.. Afterwards I was left with: 2A2B Mixture control 29E0 Mixure control 29CD Misfire cylinder 1 29CF Misfire Cylinder 2 29CE Misfire Cylinder 3 29CC misfires, several cylinders 2C27 Oxygen sensor before cat converter, system check 2C3B Oxygen sensor before cat converter, not conected It seems to be that whole bank that's having issues, I was thinking possibly an o2 sensor but I didn't think that would cause misfires, at this point I'm at a loss and in need of someone with more experience to chime in as to what this could possibly be, thanks! |

If your bank 1 pre-cat o2 sensor is defective it'll cause misfires along the entire bank. I'd start there.
Bank 1 should be the front most o2 sensor on the long downpipe. The harness color is black. |

Having the hardest time finding this 02 sensor.. and the only pics I can seem to find online are the non turboed engine so the placement is a bit different.. Any tips that could help me find it Tiago?

+1. I'd be looking at O2 sensor too on that bank.

Easy way to check this is to swap the sensors from bank to bank.. If the misfires follow to 4-6 it's the 02 sensor.
If you try this You'll have to drape the shorter sensor over the engine in order for it to reach. |

Thanks for the input you guys, will get to this as soon as I get some time on my hands, but again, I had the engine cover off the other day and was having the most difficult time finding the 02 sensors.. Maybe I was just off that day.
Now getting codes for pre-cat sensor bank 1, Thrust control by the way |

The o2 sensor harness wraps around the back of the engine to the drivers side. You have to remove the cabin filter panel and all that nonsense to get a good view.
