I have been wondering the same, do you need to buy a whole new NBT kit if you want to do a CIC to NBT upgrade? I remember reading on bimmerretrofits that if you go CCC to CIC and then NBT there may be some cost saving. . .

Would be great if someone could clarify

Some questions for the OP

How well does the CD slop into the drive? Is it smooth?
Have you got some close up pictures of the idrive controller installation?
Do you lose the settings for welcome home lights and Power app page?
Are you still able to save your shift light settings, EDC settings etc to the key?
