Lol, that's most likely the exception not the rule, toyota's are known for reliability and quality for the price you pay. They have some of the best trucks made like 4runners, Tacoma, tundra, fj, etc

Putting 20-year-old technology in an "all new" car easily makes you the most reliable car manufacturer. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that, if you still can get away with decent sales number. That is smart management and good for stock holders.

.... It means there is a market for a mid size hybrid v6 covertible
Say it ain't so bro Let tesla do their thing and let BMW mass market motorsports I could see these bed mates turning out a new supra, a new z4 range including a mz435i since the z2 is coming, and a BMW version of the supra which could be a baby M8 This could be dope but it could be disaster |

This doesn't seem like good news to me. I do not believe that BMW can totally maintain and apply its philosophy on a borrowed platform.

This is a great news to me. I enjoy driving BMW cars but the computer/electronic were killing me. I had countless sensor error messages but none of them were really mechanical related problem. The Toyota/Lexus I owned, were all pretty boring to drive but they also were damn reliable. 3 cars, total ownership 4.5 years, 110k km, 1 burnt light bulb. That's it. I am excited to see how this project will turn out to be.

Thank you very much blind BMW fans for having killed the BMW brand. I know its a BMW forum, but that is not an excuse. It is also very said the see the high degree of ignorance of today's BMW drivers/owners.
I'm an Alfista yet I hate this brand (Alfa Romeo) most of all. Go figure! |

The BMW's FWD philosophy is "efficiency followed by performance" and its RWD philosophy is "performance followed by efficiency".

As long as BMW stays true to itself I can see this working out well. The current Z4 is a great looking car, but its too heavy and well overpriced, save for lease rates. This combination should result in a very lightweight car that will have endless possibilities.

Does this mean that we are going to get a 4Runner-sdrive35is?
Actually, I've owned several Toyota trucks in a row (Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner) and I always have had a BMW in the garage. I'd like to see what comes of this.

If they put any motor in in that isnt a straight six, they're going a direction i don't like. I'm not a fan of complex V style motors(unnecessary amount of moving parts) and there's no replacement for displacement.

But sadly Toyota thinks "Mericans" are stupid and continue to give us the half assed North American specific frames....and now that I think about it, I'm one of those customers having owned a 98 Tacoma, 05 Tacoma, 07 fjc, 10 tundra, and now a land cruiser.
