I've also read plenty of borderline rave reviews, it's hard to judge anything based on what an automotive journalist has to say.

Grassroots Motorsports gave it one of the most positive reviews I've ever seen them give, and they're an entirely track oriented, small-fry type publication.

I wish i could have saved the threads when the new e90 and e92 came out, about 90% of the people said "i think this is ugly about it" happens with every car. as far as look, NOONE can state a proper opinion without seeing it in person...remember the E92??

The same goes for its performance....BMW always delivers, you think they would make this car less sporty than a 335? as a BMW fanatic you should have more faith in the company, the engineers arent a bunch of monkeys running around in white robes...were gonna get something very nice soon..

QFT. There were a lot of doubters when the E90 was released, and BMW did a spectacular job. Same with the E60. I don't think there's anyone who doesn't love the cars now, even if they might have been sceptical at first.

I don't the 1 series will be the next E30 M3, but it will have distinct character, and be worth of the badge. Just my .02, and just because I have one on order for ED, doesn't mean I'm biased!

I feel like people are jumping the gun and writing the 135i off before it even arrives. I've seen the car on the road here in SoCal and was impressed with its exterior. I was not fond of the online pictures, but seeing the car in person changed my perspective. Unless you've seen the car in the flesh and driven it, your opinion is solely based on online reviews and pictures.
