There are programs out there that give you a little time to reopen those sneaky bastards.

I decided to buy cheap socks and they get holes in them after one use. So you don't have matching socks and I have a hole in each one of mine today. Duct tape should fix it.

I can't read the radio display in my 1er with my overpriced polarized Oakley sunglasses on. I either have to turn my head sideways or lift my glasses off. It's getting really old.

Speaking of polarized sunglasses, when it's sunny, I wear them and they're awesome, but they neutralize the HUD in the X6M. So I have to carefully choose between sunglasses or HUD when driving on sunny days. A real dilemma.

I recently bought a new pair with the brownish shaded polarized lenses as well and have this same issue. So to counter it, I now keep my mirror shaded polarized Holbrooks in the car as well, so I can change them quick enough to view my radio stations.

My first world problem. None of my expensive sunglasses fit my head perfectly inside my motorcycle helmet and end up getting "tipped" at an angle when I'm riding, so I had to buy $400 wire frame polarized sunglasses strictly for inside my helmet.

Same problem with my Ray Bans. The screen on my Garmin GPS completely went blank. I was lost for 4 days.

This first world problem also drove me nuts and fortunately can be resolved fairly easily. First, you need to get a transparency sheet (like those used with overhead projectors). Next, sit in the car with your polarized sunglasses on, and look at the radio display like you would when driving. Now hold the transparency sheet in front of the display and start rotating it until the display becomes visible. Finally, cut out a piece of the transparency sheet that you can then place over the display permanently.

Do what I did, tint the windshield. I have 40 on the windshield and 20 the rest of the way around and almost never need to wear sunglasses anymore in the car.

That sounds a bit sketchy, how is it driving at night?

Honestly, you can't really tell a lot of difference in the car as long as you use a quality film. If you don't like to drive with tint on the sides/rear it may not be the best option, however. I have my father's truck tinted at 55 on the front and 20 the rest of the way around and he actually didn't notice for a while until he happened to have his window down and looked out right near the a pillar.

Gotcha.

I've been really lazy with tinting any of my last 5 or 6 cars. Back in the day I had a 1994 Toyota 4Runner and had seriously dark limo tint on all windows (including back window, which came down on those 4Runners - my favorite feature of the car) except the windshield. I don't recall the % but you could not see inside the car from the outside, even with your nose up to the window.

Anyway at night I'd often open the rear window so I can use the rearview mirror and actually see something... so I thought immediately of that when I read "tint the windshield"

I have been meaning to get a tint for the X6M though (darkest legal I can go) and will see about tinting the windshield. It is an interesting suggestion.

If I think of it later today, I will get some pictures from the inside and outside of the car.

Ours has a drive-thru, but it's always filled with people wanting froo-froo drinks like a half-decaf, part-skim, part-soy, pomegranate latte with a vanilla shot. Takes 10 minutes to make each drink. Should be a separate "coffee only" line.
