I decided to hold off on everything all together. Next April/May I'll be able to pay cash for the car, financing it just didn't sit right with me.

I've been swaying between the m3 and gts, but it always comes back to the P car. the M3 is nice, but it just doesn't have the same aura as a GTS or C2S.

The GT3 is great, congrats man! Yeah, the GTS has the advantage in price, availability of PDK (if that matters to you), and probably ride comfort. Oh yeah, and finding 997 GT3s are like finding unicorns right now, lol (believe me, I looked). Otherwise, the GT3 is so exquisite. I have to say though, its not like a 997 Carrera S is a bad car... it still feels more like a "sports car" than the M3.

BTW, OP, have you considered a Cayman GTS? That car with a manual transmission would be loads of fun. 3000 lbs, that's a lightweight for cars these days...
