Do I have to use pentosin chf11s?

As per title guys

Im going to do a power steering fluid change. I know BMW recommend to use pentosin but a quick ebay search brings up loads of other brands.

Now my question is, does it matter what brand I use?

Thanks

Absolutely. Do not use anything but the chf11s. The seals in the pump and rack are designed to be used only with this fluid.

no no

what I meant was can I use other branded companies which do the chf11s?

or does it have to be by pentosin. A quick search on ebay brings up loads of chf11s variants other than pentosin so I was wondering if its ok to purchase.

Hmm I didn't realize there were other brands making chf11s. Is the price point that significant not to use the original? I would just use the OEM brand.

I've used the Fuchs Titan 4300 B to completely flush my PS fluid. Same fluid as the Pentosin CHF11S. No issues.

Amazon sells it for a couple bucks cheaper than what you can find at Orielly's or Autozone.

im from the uK

was just wondering if its ok to use a different branded chf11s rather than pentosin brand. Its still gonna be chf11s but just not made by pentosin.

As I am doing my research for power steering fluid I learned the following:

pentosin CH202 and CH11S containers state that they are compatible for mixing with the other. To me it means I can use either that is readily available regardless of what my power steering cap says. Anyone else care to comment?

Correct. CHF202 supersedes 11S and is fully backward compatible.

I used 202 in my car and it's totally fine.
