67 plate 440i GC

Been having an odd humming noise coming from what I think is the engine bay. Very obvious in the cabin, difficult to hear around the engine bay when running, but is audible.

Occurs on startup, whilst running, and even when engine is off / standby but ignition on.

Occurs intermittently but can be up to ever 30s to minute. Lasts only about 3 seconds, sound like wee pump starting up and stopping.

No driveability issues or warning lights. Though there is an odd noise coming from the HVAC system recently, sounds as if the AC pump is acting up.

Anybody have insight into this one? Its book with BMW end of May.....
