There was this guy in a Chev Cobolt that followed me for good 20 minutes before we lined up at a set of lights. I HAD to race him to get rid of him. A few good races are against the Camaro's ZL1 and SRT8's. However, my car is so much faster with DCT.

Dodge Challenger just cut me off when I was driving normally. Then that idiot pushed throttle like he is on drag strip. Police vehicle was right across the street, but I think they both missed it.

Any street race is a bad idea ~ even when you win, you lose....
M3 is not all that fast so unless you want to keep up with the M3 d-bag image, keep it going...everyone has an opinion about what is nice. Always someone richer or faster around the corner so no need to prove anything on the street. Oddly enough RARELY does anyone try to race me, most just give me a thumbs up and we go our separate ways. Or maybe they see the baby seats

today, Nissan 240. Loud obnoxious and disgusting, would never.
I do like messing with other nicer cars to see how they fare, but really only on open highways not stoplights.. |

We get your avg rev from newer 5.0s, G37s and some imports but we've only played with a Porsche GTS, a C7 (didn't do so good lol), a local E63 AMG (just blew his engine the other day I heard) and a few Audis. Just had a S4 have a little fun with me on the interstate this past weekend. Both of us gave a thumbs up and then went our separate ways.

When I have my e46 on the trailer passing by some doucher poser in a street car they know what's up and are quick to exit. Street racing is for high schoolers in civics. Keep rocking those project kics and tow hooks on a car that's never been to the track. Helps the wrecker get you out of the ditch when you can't control things.

1) If we race and win, we're d-bags for driving like d-bags on the street. 2) If we race and lose, we're d-bags for buying a 75k car and losing to a minivan. Also, 1 above still applies re racing on the street. 3) If we take the high road and don't race, we're d-bags for being uppity d-bag snobs. Bonus - If you've done all 3, you've achieved the gold standard of an M3 driver. |

A stock Corolla tried yesterday. Probably around my age, maybe a bit younger (high schoolers) and I entertained them.
But usually I just ignore the riced integras and stuff. Never had an actual performance car try yet.

Anyone ever think that the other person just wants to hear/see a V8 BMW.
I lined up with my friends zl1 when I had a g37, I know its absolutely NOT a competition but its fun to hear and see him do a pull. |

Lifted trucks seem to be repeat offenders in my case. VW GTIs, anything AMG and any kid in a 335 want to race. I don't even try any more, just wait for them to roll away before I commit to setting off so there's no question I have no intention of racing. I quit that sort of recklessness as I was caught racing a W212 E63-S shortly before I sold my W211 E55 Kompressor. Mercifully, I was let off with a written warning after one of the officers discovered he knew a member of my family (a former local judge). It was an entirely random event, but it turned out I knew the gentleman I was racing as well (a local attorney who goes to the same gym as me). Anyway, after being read the potential consequences of street racing, it's just not worth it (arrest, public record, massive fines and points on your license, insurance premiums raised, car impounded, etc.). I've been meaning to write the officer a letter in thanks.
