iPhone 6 bluetooth fail

*UPDATE*

After upgrading to 8.1, Bluetooth works again in the car for phone calls!

Folks,

I don't know if you are having similar issues, but on my 09 e90, I am able to pair the iPhone 6 with the car, but the phone does not make/receive calls.

If someone calls, I can answer the call with the car, but can't hear the caller...and the stereo never mutes. Same thing when making a call (from the handset only, since I cant get the car to initiate a call).

Anyone else having similar issues? Anyone find a fix or workaround?

I'm having the same issue, Phone pairs but can't make calls. Tried a few different settings on the phone but not luck. Hope its fixed soon. My 5s worked just fine.

Mine is having similar issues, but it accepts the call and mutes the stereo. The part that's giving me trouble is when I accept the call, the default output is to the hand set and not the stereo.

Are you answering it with your phone? Or with the steering wheel button?

You may already know this, but if you answer with the phone, it will default to the phone

Answering with either the steering wheel control or the iDrive knob defaults to my phone

I'm gonna try to reset my phone, restore again and see if it's just my phone.

no issues with my ip6 on my 2011 e90 m3...

running iso 8.0.2...had no issues with original ios 8 either tho....

did you delete all previous devices from your car

2011 E92 with all options and enhanced sound. iPhone 6 with 8.0.2. Zero issues.

reset, restored and updated to 8.0.2 and it works! I also deleted the GF's phone along with mine from the list. I don't know which fixed it, but I guess it doesn't matter

Deleted the car from the iPhone, the iPhone from the car. Did a restore on the phone in iTunes. Re-Paired the phone to the car. Seems to be working now.

You updated to 8.0.2, right? It may not correlate with anything, but it's worth doing to weed out all possible solutions.

Yep did a fresh install and everything. Hopefully its just a software issue that gets fixed.

I'm having the same issue. Have not updated to 8.0.2 yet though on my iPhone 6. Iphone 5 was working fine.

Sounds like the 2011 models with updated idrive (which can be SW updated) it works for. But the rest of us no?

I also heard of things working for folks after resetting everything, but once you reboot all is lost again.

Been having these problems with my '11 since last year with a 5S and now with a 6+. Have deleted devices, restored and restarted from scratch, got a warranty replacement phone from Apple, and asked the BMW dealer for any updates to the iDrive (other than the 1006 update from the BMW website which was last updated for iOS6). I'm going to go ahead and blame the car - no problems in other cars with any of the phones. My problem is the phone will connect to the Bluetooth for talking then disconnect a few minutes into the call.

Seems some fixes are available.
Maybe a software update for ECUs can help?
