Thumbs up Caught My First View of LC500 in The Wild...

... Absolutely Stunning! The pic really doesn't do it justice. It's low and wide and the floating roof line is very sexy IMO.

I'd say it definitely has the presence of a $100k car.
I can only imagine the 'F' version forthcoming...

It's a very nice car. Saw one at the Lexus dealer last week and was very impressed by it. Came back a few days later and it was sold (with $15k mark up). They got another one in for sale as well. I'm sure it will go fast. It's a car I'd highly consider if I were looking at a luxury coupe.

Good looking but underwhelming performance. Much like almost everything else Lexus produces. You can take the Toyota out of the name, but you can't take the Toyota out of the car.

See if the sportier version gets better.

It was never meant to be a great performance car. If one prfers sporty cars, Lexus isn't it. Lexus makes comfortable cars that are capable of being sporty. They can make sporty cars if they want to (LF-A) but that's not their market.

I understand that, but I can't help being supremely disappointed in Toyota / Lexus.

Toyota produced (eons ago it feels like) sporty cars like the MR-2, Supra, etc that were actually fun to drive, phenomenal engine in the Supra that could be tuned for immense power and now.....nothing. The FR-S doesn't count. No power.

Lexus has the looks, but nothing to back it up - which is why they disappoint me. Because I really believe they could back it up - if they wanted to. So why not - why not put some punch in your brand - I'm not talking a wholesale revision to your go-to-market strategy...just one car that is exciting and fast. Gets people talking and youth interested in your brand.

LF-A is why I said "almost" everything is underwhelming. But then they went and priced it out of the stratosphere so it was almost unobtainable, so they missed the mark on that one too I believe. But I had hope there for them - I thought it might be the start of something.

I even have hopes for this car - the FI version of this car might very well be something exciting. Time will tell.

Yeah I get it. Toyota for the most parts just makes reliable, boring cars nowadays.

Here are some pix I took of the LC500. I really liked the looks of it.

Yeah. This car is NOT about performance. And it doesn't have to be honestly. It is a "Grand Tourer". It is meant to transport 2 in complete luxury and style. It achieves that. And you already know it's rock solid build quality and and full of technology. I'd say it is easily competition for the MB SL and 6 Series. I actually prefer the looks of it for anything in it's price point.

Nice looking car, but I have said it since the first time I saw that front grill. That's the ugliest front end of a car I have ever seen. Did somebody have a dream about looking Pac-Man in the mouth and think it was a good idea to make the front ends look like that?

I am not one to argue numbers... but this "stunning" car is slower than a 4300 lb BMW 750i in the 1/4... take that info how u want...

Lexus continues to dissapoint.

It's slower than a lot of cars out there for much less money. At the end of the day, it's different priorities for different people. This Lexus is not as fast but the quality is top notch and will probably last much, much longer. Lexus also holds value very well so that's another selling point.

Honestly, I really dig the LC500 and RCF. Exterior styling of the GSF is quite the turnoff though, imo.

Lexus has one of the best residuals in the industry.

I might be in minority but nether the front nor the back looks good to me. The side profile looks ok. I cross shopped this among others with the F-type and ended up with the Jag...
