Don't know about that, but he's still complaining and now he's blaming the safety car. The guy who greatly benefited from the lack of a safety car a week prior is now saying it cost him the race. Just stop talking Nico. Please!

For me its HAM ALO - RIC ROS BOT - RAI BUT VET
So by your own "yardstick", Vettel has soundly trumped all his teammates for 7 years (including BMW and Toro Rosso), but he's in your 3rd tier, presumably because his car has had more ERS/ gearbox problems than Ricciardo during one-half of one season. Yeah, that sounds logical.

There is no way round the fact that RIC has out driven VET nearly every race.
HAM has no end of mechanical problems but is only a few points behind ROS.
RIC is 43 points ahead of VET and that doesn't include the 18 he lost at the first race.

Vettle has had his fair share of mechanical problems this year too, although RB's reliability has been pretty good recently.

True...lady luck does seem to have completely deserted Vettel this year and he is a good driver no doubt - you don't win 4WDCs for nothing.
Who knew though that DR would turn out to be such a great racer? he looked pretty handy at Torro Rosso but nothing spectacular, it just goes to show just how hard it is to stand out when you aren't in a front running car.
