This is more of a question for the Admins. I just noticed after looking at my user settings that the site keeps track of all my attachments and how much space they take up. It also allows me to delete them if I want. It just makes me wonder if there's a maximum size and if I should pay attention to them and "clean up" my attachments once in a while?

Yes there is a maximum size, however the actual number changes based on how much free space we have to offer at any given time, so there is no set number, I wouldnt worry much unless you hit your limit.
