Here's the full schedule:

So how does the Pirelli World Challenge work, you ask? Read on:
Purpose: The purpose of the Pirelli World Challenge® Championships is to provide teams, manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers a competitive production-based race series in which to prove their products.

Race Length: There is a 50-minute maximum time limit for every race, with the number of laps and total distance being determined by track configuration, lap times and race conditions

Homologation of Vehicles: In addition to the general series rules that apply to all homologated vehicles, each vehicle model that is homologated into the Pirelli World Challenge Series has a set of specifications assigned to it on a Vehicle Technical Specification sheet (VTS) in order to give equivalent overall performance capabilities to a wide range of vehicles. Adjustments to a vehicle′s VTS sheet will be made until a competitive package is developed. Vehicles may be submitted for homologation up to a year before it goes on general sale to the public, and until that particular body style goes out of production throughout the world

Competition Adjustments: In order to keep the competition close within the Pirelli World Challenge series, competition adjustments will be made to a vehicle model when deemed necessary. Competition adjustments will primarily be done through adjustments to the base weight, the engine speed limit and/or the required restrictor siz

Team Championship: A Team Championship will be named in each class. Points are awarded to teams based on how their individual cars finish in each class. The points for all races are awarded as follows: 1st, 130 pts.; 2nd, 110; 3rd, 95; 4th, 85; 5th, 80; 6th, 76; 7th, 72; 8th, 68; 9th, 64; 10th, 60; 11th, 57; 12th, 54; 13th, 51; 14th, 48; 15th, 45; 16th, 43; 17th, 41; 18th, 39; 19th, 37; 20th, 35; 21st, 33; 22nd, 31; 23rd, 29; 24th, 27; 25th, 25; 26th, 23; 27th, 21; 28th, 19; 29th, 17; 30th, 15; 31st, 13; 32nd, 11; 33rd, 9; 34th, 7; 35th, 6; 36th, 5; 37th, 4; 38th, 3; 39th, 2; 40th, 1.

In addition to the base point system, five points will be awarded to any car that leads a lap in each class and five points to the car that leads the most laps in each class per race. In case of a tie, the car with the highest finishing position will be awarded the points. In qualifying, a maximum of five points may be earned. The qualifying breakdown is as follows: 1st, 15 pts.; 2nd, 12; 3rd, 9; 4th, 6; 5th, 3

There is also the Rookie of the Year, the Jim Cook Memorial Trophy and the Zimmerman Cup award at the end of each season.

Here's more on/of the Bentley:
Powered by a 4.0 litre engine, the GT3 takes the essence of the iconic Continental GT and pushes it to the limit. More than 1000kg of weight has been eliminated by removing the equipment and parts that make the road-going Continental such a luxurious grand tourer. Double glazing, veneer and leather trim, over fifty ECUs and extensive electrical systems - all have gone in the relentless pursuit of speed.

In tandem with Bentley's technical partner, M-Sport Ltd, the Bentley GT3 team have made numerous radical changes to bring the Continental to the track including: a race-configured version of Bentley's highly efficient 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine; a six-speed sequential racing gearbox; double wishbone suspension; four-way adjustable dampers; and competition brakes.

The GT3 retains the iconic silhouette of the Continental GT: in fact, the main body shell is almost a direct carryover. Doors, boot lid and bonnet are now hand-crafted in carbon fibre.

The GT3 is the culmination of many years of customer feedback that Bentley belongs on the race track and the GT3 is the realisation of the dream held since the launch of the Continental GT.

There was a Blancpain gt race on last week. But it was a Monza Italy race. So yeah its rare and tends to be very delayed. Pretty sure it's streamed on YouTube too. I want to see the Alex Zanardi Blancpain Sprint BMW (ROAL Motorsport) that thing is coool

Race Preview from racer.com:

All six series categories of competition are set for Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2014 Pirelli World Challenge season, the 25th Anniversary of the championship, and the return to picturesque Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wis. It marks the series' first trip there since 2009, and over 70 total cars across GT, GTA, GTS and TC, TCA and TCB categories will be in action on the same weekend for only the second time all year.

In four of the six categories, championship battles are beginning to develop as drivers and teams fight for supremacy. There's only a handful of drivers who have had prior Pirelli World Challenge starts at Road America, but the number increases when you consider drivers who have raced at the track in other racing series.

GT, GT-A and GTS will race once on Friday, once on Saturday for a pair of 50-minute shootouts while TC, TCA and TCB have a Friday doubleheader scheduled at the 4.048-mile permanent road course that is commonly referred to as "America's National Park of Speed."

Things could not have gone any better for Johnny O'Connell, of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Cadillac Racing last time out in Detroit, three weeks ago. (LEFT) O'Connell, driver of the No. 3 Cadillac Racing Cadillac CTS-V.R, won both races and pole positions on Belle Isle Park and has moved into the series points lead after six races. O'Connell has not raced in Pirelli World Challenge at Road America, but has a pair of GT1 class wins driving for Corvette Racing at the circuit in another racing series..

Teammate Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., by contrast, has seven prior series starts in Elkhart Lake and a win in the S2 class in 1996. Driving the sister No. 8 Cadillac Racing Cadillac CTS-V.R, he's seeking his first win of the 2014 season this weekend. Pilgrim has three runner-up finishes in six races this season.

Second in points, 81 back of O'Connell, is Round 4 winner Anthony Lazzaro, of Atlanta, Ga., who races in the No. 61 R. Ferri Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. Like Pilgrim, Lazzaro has a past win at Road America in the 1990s, a Formula Atlantic flag-to-flag triumph from pole back in 1998. Teammate Nick Mancuso, of Chicago, in the sister No. 16 R. Ferri Motorsports Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, has emerged as one of the fastest drivers thus far in 2014 and looks to add a second podium or perhaps a first series win to his resume this weekend.

For the first time this year, GT has all four drivers that have won 2014 races in the field. Both the GT and GT-A winner from Round 1 at St. Petersburg compete this weekend. Young Andrew Palmer, of Chicago, in the No. 21 GMG Racing Audi R8 Ultra, took the Round 4 win at Barber and seeks his third series win (second overall) on another permanent road circuit.

Meanwhile, the man who starred at St. Petersburg, Tomas Enge, of Liberec, Czech Republic, is back in the No. 25 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo FL2. Enge took pole in Round 1 and completed a come-from-behind drive to win the race despite a slow start.

The K-Pax Mclaren 12C was destroyed yesterday. Thankfully the driver (Alex Figge) is ok
