20" rims on 335i???

So I just bought an 07 335i.. I'm wanting to put 20's on it, should i do it or not???? Can someone give me positives and negatives about it? Wanting 20x10 for the rear, are 285/20/20 for the rear a nightmare? Are they reliable? Anyone comments would be great...
Thanks

Welcome.
I guess you mean 285/25/20 tires.
Many people have 20s in here. It looks great and the difference from 19" isn't that big, but of course if you want the most comfy rid, 20s are not the way to go.

i had 20's on a 2inch drop, and they were just too much for the bad roads in SoCal, 19's are perfect really, but 20's are sick if you can live with them

You can do it, it works well if you drop the car. Here is our E92 on 20" DPE's.

You'll lose some performance with 20's and maybe ride comfort.. I'd go with 19's, you can get more rubber on them and nice offset with drop will look real clean

I would go 20s but im not african american rapper enough (altho i eat alot of KFC) on mtv cribs. If you elect to go 20s youll need a DUB decal on the window to complete that look.

All forged wheels are extremely strong. 20 x 10 is nothing there are guys running 20 x 10.5. if they are made for the bmw and forged wheels i definitely go 20's. If you aren't racing the car on the track then 20's are for you. Looks wise it's so sick.

WHEELS

My 20's were made to look like 19's.I just couldn't keep them because KC has the worst roads in the US.The wheels with a lip look alot more like 19's so I would suggest to buy wheels with a lip vs. non lip to make them look better on your car....My Klasssens are still for sale in the sellers page!

tires are twice as expensive. not even counting if you get a flat. ive been running 20s since i got my car and its a hassle, but worth every penny IMHO.

nice stereotyping. you really should of gone the traditionalist route with your input.

true sports cars dont have dubs, max is 19s.

e90s have a little more wiggle room with big lips in the rear than the e92/3.

if you decide to get 20s just do your home work, make sure you get a reputable set of wheels, and CHECK your offsets BEFORE you buy. ASK, ASK, and double check.

No ebay wheels.

here is a pic of my car for reference.

yes, you lose a little power off the line, but then again you need an excuse for engine mods anyways. Once you are pushing over 375wtq you will never notice it.

Thanks for all your replies!!!! I am purchasing my wheels today... Getting the 20's....... They are a 3 piece forged wheel... I just hope I don't go through tires to often....lol
I live in Tulsa, OK and I hope the roads are nice to me and not take the pot hole roads... But this will not be a daily driver, so that helps.

I am buying Sevas AP51 forged wheels. The pics of it are on the this site somewhere. I bought a white 335I with red interior so the Sevas with red paint I think looks sick.... I know sevas is no longer in business but its a good deal I think to buy...

dont worry, you'll soon become an expert on dodging them.

20" wheels

I had the same question about 20s myself. I was talked into it and I'm lovin' it. From the RFTs my ride has also improved. Its ultimately your choice but it is a nice look.
