BMW crashes into railway crossing barrier [video]

Quote:
BMW drivers have something of a reputation among other road users, whether it’s not using their indicators, or just being careless, we’ve all seen at least one piece of bad driving from owners of BMWs. Watch as this driver, who is either not paying careful attention or just impatient, wedge his 7 Series into a barrier at a railroad crossing. We can only imagine the taunts from bystanders. - See more at: http://www.carmagblog.co.za/featured....LlYB40lZ.dpuf

Where was this, Bizzaro Land? People gather around RR crossings in amazement and confusion as to what to do? Don't worry though, if something goes wrong everyone will lend a hand, except the police who maybe were on the train.

There's something fundamentally stupid about those barriers to begin with.

Haha, the poor driver couldn't see the barrier when it popped back up, in a blind spot, and what about the idiot that kept standing in front of the camera?

There's some pretty good shit filmed from their dash cams.. good examples of what NOT to do and how NOT to drive.

I watched it again and noticed the idiot standing on the barrier, riding it up like a little kid. He was lucky the barrier didn't fly back, as it dislodged on the side near where the car hit.

Watching Russian dash cam videos is one of my favourite past-times lol!

I think that kid got injured when he fell off the barrier. You can see him limping away in embarrassment..

To me it looked like initially the guy and his buddies were standing on the barrier to get it to lower faster. Then it started rising again for some reason so the guy stood on it alone, to try to get it to lower.

I think I'd argue the biggest idiot is the person who decided to try and dislodge the car by using a backhoe connected to the right front wheel. Why not connect to the rear tow hook and pull it straight back?

I think the barrier was lodged pretty well between the front wheel and front bumper, so if they were to pull it directly back, it would rip the front bumper off clean. But it's not like the car wasn't ruined already hehe

It did pop up pretty quick in a blind spot, but he should have wondered if the guy rising up was levitating or what.
