What?

I don't get it - everywhere in the world inflation is so low that governments print money to spike it up but BMW shop thinks otherwise. Weird. Maybe it's greed?

It is if you look back at steady increment annually. I'll let all the business lease people deal with the sticker price.

CPOs are the way to go for all BMWs these day since they are eff&&$ over price like all other manufactures. Even a nice lowest model with options already at $40k+...
+1

Also, did anyone else notice that the X3 35i got the biggest price increase at $400.
The segment now includes the SQ5 and the Macan S, so there's room to move up now.

Typical "corporate speak."

A "price adjustment" is what they call it when it's plain to see that it's a "price increase." Are they trying to convince buyers who get in before the "adjustment" that they got lucky and paid less than they should have?

Anyone want to wager on how long it'll be before BMW have to introduce a 318i because the 320i has been "price adjusted" beyond the reach of its target market? LOL

All the best.

I wish everyone's salary raises kept up with BMW's inflation rate. Some of these prices are getting ridiculous. An entry level BMW with a couple of must have options costs as much as a fully loaded 2015 Ford Mustang GT, which will maul most BMWs in performance.

If an $100-$350 price increase is too much, you're in the wrong market.

And here I was just asking if there were any programs in October for F15, well, I guess I should feel lucky that F15 is pretty much the only one that didn't get $200 bump.
I wonder if they are coupling any new incentives? There isn't much at all if any.

Is that sarcasm? Are you basing "low inflation" on govt CPI indexes that don't account for food, utilities, fuel etc. keeping inflation officially low allows them to not have to raise CoL adjustments for the millions on SS living on a few hundred dollars a month.

The real inflation numbers are like 6% hardly low.

http://www.shadowstats.com" rel="" target="_blank">http://<a href="http://www.shadowsta...wstats.com</a>

If you are unfamiliar with how CPI is calculated, read about how many times the items they use to base it on has changed since the 90's. When something gets too expensive they sub it for something else.

Govt, technically central banks, (ie private inst) print money to bail out and fund otherwise involvement banks and allow for govt to be funding by creating so much liquidity they can m
Buy Tbills each month to keep the yields low. Keeping yields low prevents the 70trillon in derivatives from breaking that are based on higher interest rates.

My apologies, the entry SE spec gets halogen with LED. All other trims get full LED according to Merc's website. The Seat Leon gets LED headlights as standard upgrade in UK. Audi A3 gets LED on S line models etc etc

My point was BMW are pushing prices up with 20th Century Technology whereas others are embracing new 21st Century Technology at similar or cheaper prices and placing it as standard on their cars.

To summarise:

Just as Edison said we'll make electricity so cheap that only the rich will buy candles, every car manufacturer recently said we'll make LED lights so cheap only BMW drivers will use halogens.

I don't recall stating I think it is too much, too little or just right.

A great majority of "regular" people do not care about performance and would prefer the BMW for status and luxury over the Mustang (which has gotten really nice as of late though).

Currency markets are changing. $100-$400 ain't a big deal.

Not sure what people are complaining about. If you look back at E46 prices and adjust for inflation today, it's in the same ballpark. I believe the E46 330i was around 36k, today that would be about 48k for a 330/335?

Why don't they bake these "adjustments" into the new MY? The 15's just came out ...
