Breaking Bad

Wow. I just found out about this show 2 weeks ago and have got to season 5 episode 2 thanks to Netflix.

This is some great writing for a television series. Who else watches this?

My thoughts so far on the characters:

Walter - smart man when it comes to chemistry, dumb when it comes to street life. He's over emotional in the wrong moments and not sensiitive enough when he needs to be

Jesse - I think we all used to hate this prick, but he's coming around now that he got some cajones, but my God he used to make some terrible decisions.

Skyler - bitch.

Jr. - Love when he cusses, can be annoying at times.

Hank - I know he's doing his job, but I wish he would find something else to do

I guess there's plenty more characters, but I'll stop there

One of the best shows I've ever watched. Not looking forward to the finale, but all good things must come to an end.

Is it going to be the season finale or series finale? I pray to God not the latter!

I remember being where you're at, TRUST me the twists will begin to pick up very quickly and it gets crazier and deeper every episode!

I started watching it earlier this year as well and became hooked. I can't believe I've only got one episode left to watch.

Awesome series, this sunday (9/29) will be the final episode of the series. Sad to see it end, they probably could've made it last longer, but I'm sure Sunday will be a crazy episode.

You have no idea the pain that brings to me. I'd love to meet the cast, they're true celebrities to me!

I wonder if they might bring the series back after a while? I can't imagine them ending it due to low ratings like other series.

I can't imagine they would, since Vince Gilligan has said that the ending is pretty clear.

They are doing a spinoff show called 'Better Call Saul' (before BB takes place).

Skyler is redeeming herself in these last couple episodes a bit... also, Anna Gunn was MEGA HOT at the Emmy's the other night... i thought she was an Ug-Bot in the show but she was the nicest looking chick on that whole Emmy telecast.

It's definitely up there with the best television dramas of all time.

The writing is exceptional. After seeing the Netflix version of Arrested Development and how crap it was compared to the earlier versions and then watching it right after Mad Men and Breaking Bad all the way through you really get an appreciation for great writing. It is certainly more important than the actors themselves.

Here's the man behind the show; Vince Gilligan

46 years old, nominated for an Emmy and award for Writer's Guild for Best Screenplay.

Had no idea he did a majority of X-Files back in the day.

I watched the Emmys the other night and it piqued my interest in this show. It had many nominations and won outstanding drama series.
I knew of the show but didn't realise that it was so far along already.
I will be starting it soon though..

Wow I have to definitely watch it now!

I quite like Scandal, The Newsroom and Homeland in terms of drama series (there are so many more but I've drawn a blank)

Ok, let me put it to you like this, I just got into Scandal as well and it is a pretty good show with great writing. Let's call Scandal a 7/10 and Breaking Bad a solid 10/10 IMO

Neither Bromine nor Barium are used in meth production. This has always bothered me about the title sequence.
