WAP / PDA users, check in here!

Ok, i'm toying with the idea of getting a full WAP version of the forums running, but was wondering if anyone here would actually use it ? I like playing with WAP on my phone alot, just because I find myself bored as hell alot of times. Does anyone else think they would use it at all ? Please please fill out the poll and let us know if you like this idea and we can see about getting something done

I would definately use it...

You would most likely make me fail varsity, as I would read these forums instead of concerntrating during lectures...but I think a WAP version would be cool for all those times I'm stuck in traffic or just plain bored some where away from home.

* Until Nokia released the Wifi enabled N80 (and i find a good hotspot at uni) ---which could take over a year---

I love this site and have a WAP enabled phone, but that feature is slow as hell, so i'd have to agree with Puck

Well this would be a more fully featured version, it would allow you to post from your treo, view your PMs and would better organzie the posts and make it more readable. And I think it will be faster.

Are you happy with the current PDA version ?

i dont know if it support it or not, but the only reason why i got the 7520 blackberry was to use th bluetooth. that is the only phone nextel have bluetooth. now nextel came out with the i870 with bluetooth, i switched back to a regular phone. i would not likely to go online with this phone. i will take forever to type a sentence.

Its not WAP its just a very slimmed down version of the forum that all vbulletin forums have built in. I personally think its crap, thats why I want to get a more robust version going that is still fast and usable for a cellphone/PDA

I actually prefer the simple, clean interface of the current PDA version (though I have no idea how the new one will be).

The only bug I've found is that sometimes after i refresh on my 650 the archive re-sorts itself so the oldest post is first (instead of most recent first).

I would use it.
I have a PDA with wifi and a cell phone with WAP.

There is only one forum that I browse with wap right now.

Actually, this slimmed down PDA site works great on my Treo 650 - almost loads as fast as the full-page on my laptop. I wish I had known about this special url before now!

I do not think it is crap - simple is good when your surfing on a handhelp wireless device.

I dont see the need for using it from a phone, computers are easy to come by nowadays. I try to avoid times of sitting around and not doing anything, but if it happens, I deal with it.

Did you ever pull the trigger on this? I'd love a true WAP version of this forum to use on my Treo 650.

I just got the Treo 700p and was wondering if there was a mobile version of e90post. The 700p does well (high speed EVDO) with this site but the screen is a little crowded.

I'm all for it! Thanks in advance!
