Please help - HPFP pressure values N20/26
Hi,
Really hoping someone can do me a solid. I'm trying to find the cause of a warm restart issue where there is a rough idle and sometimes stalls. I believe this is the HPFP based on other threads for N55 and N20. Can someone please please please run live Diagnostics and let me know what their pressures are? Mine are: Idle - 7.5mpa When revved on blip throttle to 4K rpm - 11-20mpa As above I had up to 20MPA pressure on the fuel rail and 7.5MPA at idle. Wanted to know if this is normal and whether others have this? Thanks I'm advance Tim |

The injectors are designed for anywhere from 50-200 bar (5-20MPa). There's a pressure relief valve in the pump at 250 bar to prevent damage in the event of a broken ECU.
Those numbers sound normal, but that's assuming the pressure sensor is accurate... |

Glad that means I'm not causing any harm to the injectors or pipes and rail. Be good to validate my pressure levels against a healthy N20. Trying to hunt down this warm idle restart issue. It's so very strange - only when warm after the car has been driven to full temp. Then switched off, left to cool for 30 minutes roughly, then when it starts up it has a rough idle or stalls, but it starts up fine straight away after if it stalls. |
