Just saw one in person yesterday at Kuni BMW, it looks sweet but the salesman said that it had every available option and was 50k!

Hate the coupe...
Same here..I would buy the hatch in a heartbeat....most people dont like hatches but I saw all over the UK and they looked nice...The 135 in this pic is nice but at 50K loaded I'd for a slightly used 335.

Depending on your stand on speed vs look, your decision will be determined from that standpoint...

Not my thing, but I understand why some people will buy them.

I'd get the E92 328i before the 135i, I simply can't see rolling up to a date's house in it. The 328i would get "Oh! A BMW!" while the 135 looks more like "That's a BMW?"

As for the power/looks argument - for the money, there are new cars that give you both, not just one, outside the BMW family.

Within the BMW family, it's the Cayman Conundrum all over again. Why buy a Cayman when for the same money you can get all manner of gently-used 911s (997, 996TT)? Why get the 135i when you can get all sorts of Z4s, 5-series, 3-series, and even 7-series?

There were three in a row on the road yesterday.. two 120d convertibles and one 123d normal.

The fronts looked fugly, the three thankfully zoomed past me because the rear of the 1-series looks pretty good.
