I just installed this on my retrofitted combox, worked like a charm.

Had no issues prior to this update, but figured an update, why not.

I have Samsung Note 4 and I don't have to make any changes on the phone. Every time a new email or sms, notification is displayed on idrive. I haven't updated to the latest version of firmware for CIC. If it's not broken why fix it.Only thing is that I don't get album artwork.

Hi to all,
no one has a combox reset with iphone 6 when listening audio throught USB with for example spotify? I thought the problem was the cable lenght or a problem connected with a too hight current asked from the phone but I made a "modified" usb cable that doesn't charge the phone but combox reset itself randomly also with this cable. If I don't plug the phone to the usb port all works fine.

Some ideas?

Late to the party but my battery replacement project crashed my iPhone 5S interface with my non-iDrive 2011.75 M3 sedan. I can see an old iPod but my iPhone is not recognized when plugged into the USB. Perhaps I corrupted the files somehow while trying to register the battery?

Anyway, is there a way to upload the .bin file w/o iDrive? If so, can someone please point me to the thread that tells me how (other than "drive to dealer or independent bmw repair place")? I have a local guy who can code, just need to know what he needs to do once he plugs in...

So a friend suggested just restarting my iPhone. Lo and behold it worked!

I'm still using a iPhone 8+. Latest ios is what 12 or 13? Anyone had issues updating with a newer iOS? I know when this update came out it was during ios5 or 6 lol. My idrive works fine and great. I don't have e-mail or text message reading capabilities on it but it doesn't bother me. Wondering if I should update or not? I read some people having issues of the BT losing connection. Everything I have right now is working great. Only reason for me to update would be for the e-mail and text reading functionality.
