I know someone else already mentioned it but an elliptical machine would be a really good option for you. Great sweat, you can increase the intensity as you progress without any additional stress to your joints. Good luck!

one of our PT clinics just got this in:

if you can find a clinic that has one and maybe some sort of wellness/gym program as well...might be another option.....

or just buy one outright if you got the cash...

anything low impact, swimming is good, even just moving around in the pool will be helpful. cycling might be good. its tough though since just about every activity puts strain on the ankle

Swimming is good for the fitness purposes. It burn the fat in belly, thighs, and shoulders etc. and plays an important role to shape up the body. You should continue the swimming and also do some more cardio specially running, jogging, cycling, and rope jumping etc. for the improved fitness level.
