Contemplating an 06' 330i

Hi everyone,

I'm coming from a 2004 E46 325Ci. Ran into an 06' 330i with 68k. Car runs smoothly, and the tires are brand new. I understand that they're supposed to come with RFCs, but the dealership put on new Continentals. They told me they'd take the price of new RFCs off the car since they messed up. As it sits, the car is 16,900. I am curious about it though. The car has a medical kit and a hazard triangle in the trunk. Both of these come with the european version, correct? Also, the back side windows have sliding sunshades, and the rear window has an automatic sunshade. I've looked around and can't seem to find any other cars around with that option. So, 16,900 - 1200 = 15,700. What do you all think?

By the way, the car is from europe come to find out. A retired army officer bought it in Germany and had it serviced there (all records intact). Which would explain the lack of service history on the CarFax.

Another quick question, how do I know which packages the car has? I'm guessing it has the cold weather package as it has heated seats, but what about the sport or premium packages? I know how to identify these on an E46, but not the E90.

Thanks again!

if the front seats has thigh support, then it probably has sports package, quick way to check for premium is if on the drivers side door handle, where the side mirror adjuster is, if there are two buttons, one that slides and one that folds the mirror inwards. hope that helps

the sport package has 17" wheels. it's really noticable when comparing to the 16"s i think 16"s are way too small for the e90. not to thread jack or anything....so i'm actually not gonna ask, but if anyone can just point in the direction to find out how the vehicle has sport premium and cold weather packages on the e46 i would really appreciate that. thanks.

cold weather package on an E46 usually has heated seats, and a rain sensor

sport package has a three-spoke steering wheel, slightly lower suspension and the front turn signal indicators are clear instead of amber

so wrong.

The OP is talking about a 06 330. The easiest ways to tell if its a sport:
-18in 162 wheels
-Circular Airbag (not diamond shaped)
-Sport seats (have thigh supports)

+1 on the price being too low.

Cold weather has 60/40 split seats and a ski bag.

Here's the link to the car, with some pictures and more information. I went again last night to check it out and it looks like it doesn't have the sports package after all. It does have the premium and cold weather package. Is this still a good buy?

I could get it for 15,400 out the door, taxes and everything. Only concern to me is the miles, 68k for a 4 year old car is kind of high IMO.

That doesn't look like it has the premium package. Those look like leatherette seats.

I have a 2006 330i and love it. It looks like the car you're looking at has the cold weather package and maybe the premium package (it looks like the button to fold in the side mirrors is in one of the pictures). I also have the sport package and wouldn't have the car without it. However, I think you should give the car a test drive and see if you like it. 62K miles is a bit high, but I think that's probably factored in the price. Just keep in mind that the car is out of warranty, so you'll probably want a mechanic to check it out.

Nice price. If the car is still under warranty, I'd definitely consider it. I'd also make sure it had sports package if nothing else. I'm also not a big fan of RFTs anymore so regular tires are actually a plus to me.
